When I
tell people that I am an artist the first thing they usually want
to know is what inspires me. Well I am inspired by many things...
usually something in nature. I love textures of rocks or worn
walls with peeling paint. Animal skin... like elephant or crocodile...
or the colour combination on butterfly wings. Even horizons...
such as sun, sky and water are all inspirational.
I have to say that art for me
is also experimentation. I'm like a mad scientist...mixing all
kinds of products together with paint or concrete or resins to
see what I get. Many times the results are not what I wanted...
and sometimes the results are even better than I had expected.
I am a self taught artist and have been creating ever since I
can remember. I work with many mediums such as acrylic, concrete
and resins. |
